School education especially from class 7–12

Why?

If you are going to school for extra curricular activities, it's fine but if you are expecting that Schools will provide you education to tackle life challenges and building up your career, you are living in a myth.

Generally in career either you will be following a traditional path or you will be creating your own path. Schools won't give you any idea for both.

Ask yourself these questions

How many students Qualify for top colleges just by reading school books?

How many school teachers are there who can actually help you understand a subject more than what is written in books?

How many school teachers actually answer the questions they are hearing for first time?

How many students are clear about the path in careers they want by 12th?

So how is this all working?

Let me take my Niece's example

She currently studies in class VII. Her parents pay a lump-sum tuition fee of around a lac annually. Then she goes for tuition classes by those same school teachers.

She is spending around 2 lacs annually just for fees and learning basic books that too mugging up. You learn the textbooks and you score high percentage but what's the point.

And we all know that tuition fee is not the only thing that parents pay for. School dress, books, travel bus etc etc also come from parents pocket.

Now let's see how schools manage your money. Consider a school with just 3000 students. You can calculate the revenue coming from the tuition fees.

Almost all the schools hire basic graduates and average salary of a school teacher is 20k–30k monthly. School teachers earn much more by taking private tuitions of those same students. If you don't join their tuitions most likely you will feel partiality.

Some school teachers are so busy in their tuitions that they have no time studying and polishing their subject. They are just repeating their grain day and night. You ask them one question out of text book and they are blank. Most likely they will discourage you.

I know all school teachers are not like that but most are and it's just because of the system.

When in class X board, a student gets 10 CGPA, parents think he is the topper. In reality, there are 1000s of students get 10 CGPA.

I often encounter such students in class XI and they get clean bowled in basic Trigonometry problem. Forget about knowing the meaning of things.

I hope now you understand why you find exams like IIT JEE and NEET difficult. You are not taught the basics.

Selection of school is merely a status symbol for parents. Bigger the infrastructure, better the education is general opinion.

I can go on and on on this but moreover I would like to emphasize on why this happens.

Insecurity of parents

Just by sending your kid to a school with best ameneties won't secure your childs future.

I believe that a child should be educated on a lot of things which are far from school curriculum. Schools don't really care whether your child secure a good future or not. They only care about two things,

Student will pass in that particular class or not”
You paid the fees on time or not”

Both keep their business going.

Scam, isn't?
